During the evening, you'll have access to the 4 exhibitions currently on show at Bassins des Lumières: From Vermeer to Van Gogh, the Dutch masters; Mondrian and the two contemporary exhibitions: Foreign Nature and Kaze. Thanks to the immersion of digital art, find yourself face to face with the girl with the pearl and stroll under the starry night while remaining in this unique place that is the Bordeaux submarine base. 

You'll then have the chance to step back in time over a complimentary drink and discover the history of the submarine base, from its construction to the present day. Mathieu Marsan, art historian specialized in the history of the Bordeaux submarine base and cultural mediator, will guide you on this journey. 

Discover the secrets behind its construction in 1941 and its primary military and strategic function as a submarine base until the end of the war. Learn how the base continues to blend history, heritage and culture, as it evolves from a business reception area to a film set, then an exhibition space, and now a digital art center.

This event is ideal as an introduction to a plenary session at an evening convention seating up to 200 people, or as a daytime seminar complementing an exhibition visit in the new 16-person educational room.
