Last year, Bordeaux has been awarded European Capital of Smart Tourism. But what does this mean exactly? We are going to explain everything to you! The European Capital of Smart Tourism prize rewards the city for its exemplary achievements in terms of tourism in 4 different categories: accessibility, sustainability, digitalisation and cultural heritage and creativity.
This prize is a European Union initiative which aims to create a network of attractive and smart European cities that share good practices all together, to build a more virtuous tourism.
