29th Meeting of the ESA (European Surgical Association)

Bordeaux hosted the 29th ESA Congress. This 2023 meeting was very special as it marked the 30th anniversary of the association.

To celebrate this important event, the meeting lasted two and a half days, from 11 to 13 May, the first day of which was spent in collaboration with the American Surgical Association for an ASA-ESA Jubilee Symposium on Education, Quality and Outcomes in Surgery at the Cité du Vin. The ESA congress then took place in the centre of Bordeaux, at the Palais de la Bourse, and ended with a congress dinner.

The scientific programme focused on innovation and quality in surgery.
