Couvent des Jacobins

Event venue

Nested in the heart of the village of Saint-Émilion, Couvent des Jacobins has been a family-owned business since 1902.

Jean Jean acquired the estate and his great great grandson Xavier is now continuing the tradition of the Grand Cru Classé with a hint of innovation. Thus, it is no surprise that once you enter the doors of Couvent, you head into a time-travel adventure. Couvent des Jacobins was certified in organic farming in fall 2020 ; respecting the environment is a core value for both the owners and the staff.
The numerous experiences offered at Couvent are both original and playful whether you are visiting Saint-Émilion for work or during your vacation. The tours immerge couples, friends or families in the midst of the wine-making philosophy, and transport them on board of a tuk-tuk through the vines, the quarries and the cellars.
Touring around Couvent des Jacobins is diving in 600 years of history and learning more about this historical Grand Cru Classé which has always known how to adapt to the changes of times. All the experiences offered are private and available upon reservation.
Thanks to the variety of receptive spaces it owns, Couvent des Jacobins offers a wide range of decors to host both your professional and private events. All our spaces can host the same size of groups so you may easily change the scenery of your meetings during your stay in Saint-Émilion.
Business meetings, birthday celebrations, gala dinners or open-air cocktail, all the concepts are possible. Our team will help you organize and plan your journey, and tailor it to your specific needs. You might as well include one of our accommodation in your package ; both our rustic houses are located near the domaine.

Sustainable approach

Le Couvent des Jacobins has been ECOCERT and Agriculture Biologique certified since November 2020, and has partnerships with environmental associations. For example, the Couvent des Jacobins has started to install beehives and insect huts to encourage biodiversity in the heart of the vineyards.
