In 2022, we launched “Bordeaux Bienvenue”, a comprehensive program that guarantees a high-quality, sustainable welcome for major business events. It ensures that professional events run more smoothly, optimizes the experience of participants, and creates links with local players around a committed event strategy that is more respectful of the economic and social environment.
For events that meet the criteria, “Bordeaux Bienvenue” gives access to advantages defined according to the type of event. These include, for example, guaranteed availability and rates for accommodation via the hotel charter, free access to public transport, flags and signage in the city, welcome at train stations and airports, tourist advice at the conference venue, welcome by a political figure, etc.
“Bordeaux Bienvenue” is also a collective made up of all the institutional and professional players who make up Bordeaux's event reception chain, and who work together to offer participants a top-quality welcome.
In 2022, 7 major congresses attended by a total of nearly 7,500 people benefited from the city's piazzas bearing the effigy of their event, and 25,000 delegates had access to free transport passes.
