Both cultural and fun, the "Histoires Gourmandes" tour lets you discover the medieval town from another point of view: gastronomy. Although wine remains the region's undisputed emblem, there are other local specialities that deserve to be mentioned... and tasted! Accompanied by a guide from the tourist office, you will start the tour in front of the tourist office, before discovering other places such as the Rue des Douves, the famous tertres, the Ursulines convent and other key points and monuments in the village.
Between culinary anecdotes, tastings and historical presentations, your guide will help you discover the specialities of the area in 1h30. Discover the history of lamprey à la bordelaise, the traditional recipe for Saint-Emilion macaroons, the delicious vine shoots of the Médoc and other local delicacies.
This tour is only available as a private visit. Bookings can be made directly with the Sales Department of the Grand Saint-Emilionnais Tourist Office.
