Business Tourism Observatory – first half of 2024
In the first six months of 2024, Bordeaux hosted 1,830 events.
Despite a slight decline in the number of events and conference days, the events sector is stabilising, highlighting the importance of business tourism to the local economy and its crucial role in supporting numerous sectors, including the hotel and catering industry, retail and services.
March was the busiest month of the first half of the year, followed by June and May.
The balanced mix of participant types reflects the variety of events organised and Bordeaux’s ability to attract different types of professional audiences, confirming its position as a destination of choice for both local events and those of national and international scope.
In conclusion, the results for the first half of 2024 demonstrate a strong performance in business tourism in Bordeaux and confirm the city’s appeal for professional events, whilst highlighting the importance of adapting to market developments to continue attracting major events.
