A new multi-purpose hall to host business events up to 6,000 people in 2019  

Bordeaux places the development of business tourism at the heart of its tourism policy. The city has thus undertaken substantial investments in the renovation of the exhibition centre and the construction of a new multi-purpose hall for conferences up to 6,000 people in 2019.

With almost 400 events hosted or organized every year and the management of its four complementary, scalable sites (Exhibition Centre, Convention Centre, Cité Mondiale Congress Centre and Hangar 14), Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux is a vital link in business tourism and event organization in South West France.

The CEB's objective is to develop the hosting of larger events, such as the World Congress on ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) held in 2015, which involved more than 10,000 participants.

New facilities to meet Bordeaux's ambitions

2016 marked the beginning of works on the new hall, with an investment of 30 million euros, involving the City of Bordeaux, Bordeaux Metropole, the Aquitaine Region, and the SBEPEC (Société Bordelaise des Équipements Publics d'Expositions et de Congrès).

The hall will be delivered the first semester of 2019. It will provide a flexible facility that can accommodate 4,000 to 6,000 people, with 12 committee rooms and an exhibition area. In parallel, Hall 1 will be gradually renovated. The total investment is estimated to be 70 million.
